Some people like to get someone else to organise their big day and others take it all upon themselves to create their vision and that is what Louis and Jillian decided to do. Held on a farm in the Hunua Ranges this was a day filled with love, family, friends and sooooo much pretty detail. Jillian and Louis did all the crafting themselves and I was blown away at the detail. Jillian and I actually bonded over her staunch stance on the flower budget hehe and she was overly happy with the result, thanks to Michele from Clevedon Flowers! Louis and Jillian took a casual approach to their day which is my kind of wedding. Both getting ready at the family home (in seperate rooms) joined by Jillian's son, while friends and family continued with setup like they did this every weekend. It was well oiled machine. A first look in the front garden over looking the farm, followed by photos with the bridal party on site. Unfortunately the weather wasn't looking too flash so the outdoor ceremony was moved to inside of the reception marquee. This would bother some people but not these two, everything was taken in their stride and even when it didn't end up raining and turned into a beautiful arvo they didn't complain. After a beautiful ceremony the reception began and we snuck off for a few minutes to capture the last of the days light. I'm always a tad emotional during speeches (softie I know) but I actually needed a few tissues for this one. Amazing words from proud Fathers, loving bridesmaids, a cheeky brother and an emotional haka lead by the grooms best man. Once the tears had dried it was time to party, everyone together just like it should be xx
Special thanks to....

Sonia from I Heart Pretty, who had to put up me gushing over her amazing use of colours, absolutely stunning job with hair and makeup!
And I would like to thank Jillian and Louie for having me capture their day and for trusting me and my hike up hill requests :p
